Documents of Latin American and Latino Art is an initiative dedicated to the recovery and publication of primary source materials and critical texts related to Latin American and Latinx art. HvAD designed the graphic identity and first website 10 years ago. In 2019, as part of our longstanding collaboration with Mari Carmen Ramirez (Curator for Latin American Art and director of the ICAA), we redesigned the website to address new forms of interaction and the much expanded collection. The site archives over 8,000 documents of 20th- and 21st-century art in Latin America, the Caribbean, and among US Latinx communities. The visual language of the site helps to make the often complex information accessible and comprehensible.
