Henk was honored to serve as juror alongside chairperson Jessica Helfand, and designers Daphne Geismar and Lucinda Hitchock for the AIGA + Design Observer's 50 Books | 50 Covers Competition.

In collaboration with Tamar Many of Shenkar College of Engineering, Design, and Art; Henk has been developing a platform to facilitate global change by uniting students of different cultural backgrounds and disciplines in short intensive sprints. One of the apps developed in their sprint last January was recognized by TimeOut Isreal as part Isreal's National Cleanup Day on April 2nd.
We are excited to announce that Home—So Different, So Appealing, received several awards and honors at the "20th International Latino Book Awards," this September in Los Angeles. The ceremony was a celebration of greatness in books, by and for Latinos through 93 different categories. HvAD was a finalist in 5 out of 8 design categories and is honored to be awarded those listed below:
